Building Talent. Nurturing Leaders. Shaping Practice. Join us in connecting Wealth Management.
A global stage for the next generation of wealth leaders
Jointly organized by Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU) Business School, and powered by the Wealth Management Academy (WMA), the Challenge invites undergraduate and postgraduate students from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and around the world to test their investment judgement on a realistic, institution-grade simulation platform.
The competition is delivered through the AmplifyME platform, enabling participants to construct and manage portfolios, respond to market news flow, rebalance assets, and receive objective performance scores and rankings — the same kind of decision-making professional wealth managers face every day.
This is far more than a competition—it is your direct launchpad into a career in wealth management and capital markets.
Win the trophy, learn from industry leaders, and accelerate your future
Stand out with exclusive internship opportunity and admission pathways from BOCHK and HKU Business School. Learn from industry leaders, including BOCHK wealth management professionals and HKUBS’s esteemed faculty.
The Champion team will stand a chance to secure an internship with BOCHK. In addition, the top three teams will receive priority consideration for admission to HKUBS Master’s programmes — recognition and opportunities that give you a competitive edge in your career journey.
Train on a world-class platform and connect with industry experts in Hong Kong
Hone your skills on AmplifyME — the institution-grade simulation platform. Plus, gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access through a fireside chat, and networking sessions that immerse you in the heart of Hong Kong’s financial world.
The Challenge adopts a two-round structure.
Preliminary Simulation
The preliminary round will be hosted on HKU Campus in Hong Kong, in HKU Business Schools’ Beijing and Shanghai Center, and online. All registered teams complete a preliminary wealth-management simulation. The session will last approximately 2.5 hours, including a rules briefing and the live simulation. No prior preparation is required for the simulation. The top-performing teams will advance to the Grand Final.
Grand Final
The Grand Final will take place in Hong Kong at the HKU campus and Bank of China Tower. Finalists will participate in a fireside chat and networking session. They will compete in a capital markets simulation.
